The goal of Brian's Pages is to create simple yet effective websites for small businesses or personal use. All websites are built and maintained by a human (Brian himself). All you have to do is email me what you're looking for and I'll get started. No confusing control panels or dashboards to deal with, just write it in an email and it'll happen.

Brian's Pages might be a good fit for you if...

  • you're a small or part time business
  • you need an affordable, quick solution
  • you don't have the time or desire to build your own site
  • the design of these web pages you are reading now could work
  • terms like html, php, cold fusion, java, perl, ssl and ftp give you a headache
  • you would rather tell someone in English what you need instead of building it yourself

Brian's Pages might NOT be a good fit for you if...

  • you need ftp access to modify the site yourself
  • you will need to update your site weekly or more frequently with new content
  • you have a medium to large business
  • you need services like ecommerce, MySQL database or other dynamic functions
  • you don't like the design of the web pages you're reading now

 

Onward...$199!

Now that that's out of the way here's what I can do for you. I'll build you a five page website just like the one you're looking at right now (you can pick the colors and styles, of course). There will be a "Home" page and four other pages with the content you choose. My pages are clean html, css and with a hint of java. I will also get you a domain (if you don't already have one) and host the site for three years for $199! That's about what you'd pay for hosting alone with many top name hosting services. Add to the fact that a human is building and servicing your website and I think you won't find a better deal anywhere. After three years you can renew ($199) or take your site and domain elsewhere. Actually, you take your site and domain anytime you want, but there is no rebate for early termination. If you need more than 5 pages, each additional page is $20 (setup only).

 

Here is the process:

  1. You will need to fill out the form on the "order" page the best you can and submit it.
  2. I'll review the form and send you a reply as to whether it is doable and when I can start. I'll also ask you for as much info on your endeavor as possible. Things like brochures, existing info online, pictures and whatever else that may be helpful. I'll also inquire about domain name ideas.
  3. You'll be invoiced for the first $99 and it'll need to be paid via Google Checkout or PayPal.
  4. A rough draft will be completed for your review.
  5. Changes will be made as necessary.
  6. Finished product will be delivered.
  7. Final $100 payment is made.
  8. Google sitemap.xml file created and submitted to Google via Webmaster Tools.
  9. Google analytics account created so you can keep watch on your new website's traffic.

The 3 year hosting will start once your domain is reserved. It may take as little as a few hours or as much as a week or two to complete your website. Much of this depends on how quickly I get content from you. For instance, I can build an "About Us" page in a jiffy, but you've got to write the words describing your business that appear on that page. I will do my utmost best to help and give you ideas. I want your site to be polished and you to be a very happy customer.
